RCI ‘Ocheltree’ Starlite™ custom snare drums

1/2" and 1" thick acrylic shells?

It can't be done - can it?

Oh yes it can!... a culmination of design from Jeff Ocheltree (John Bohnam's drum tech from the 70's) and RCI International have resulted in the these incredible snare drums...

The 'Ocheltree's' come in two configurations:

5.5" x 14" or 7" x 14" in either 1/2" or 1" thick shells!

They also sport the very best hardware! Offset tubes, die cast hoops, 'Trick' strainers and 'Puresound' Snares. Plus of course the laser etched 'Ocheltree' logo (see pics)...

These drums have been propelled into the 'Super League' - joining the select few 'greatest collectors snares' of all time, by re-writing the book on what is possible in acrylic drum manufacturing today!

No-one thought you could bend 1/2" acrylic! RCI bent that for breakfast and went on to bend 1" acrylic (left)

True masterpieces in drum construction with 'legendary' written all over them!

RCI 'Flames' series snare drums

We said that this section of our snare department was special and the flame series says it all!

Just look at the craftsmanship that goes into this snare ...every curve and point is acrylic welded so that the Clear and fluorescent Starlite™ material meets perfectly!

This is an absolute testament to what is achievable by masters in their field - very special and incredibly rare

As with all RCI custom drums, they are strictly built to order and can be made in color combination

Two beautiful snare drums from the Exotic Safari range

Two very special snare drums - the 'Tiger' markings are actually part of the shell! This is a result of a lengthy, painstaking process of geometrically cutting and acrylic welding each piece to create the patterns.

'Bengal Tiger'

7" x 14" with 'Tiger Pattern' shell in Amber and Solid Black Starlite™ and once again using the very best hardware! Offset tubes, die cast hoops, 'Trick' strainers and 'Puresound' Snares.

'White Siberian Tiger'

7" x 14" with 'Tiger Pattern' shell in Solid White and Solid Black Starlite™ and once again using the very best hardware! Offset tubes, die cast hoops, 'Trick' strainers and 'Puresound' Snares.
